2. Personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, i.e. information that can be traced back to an individual. This includes in particular the name, e-mail address or telephone number of a natural person. But also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites have been viewed by someone or even unique identification numbers, such as the IP address, count as personal data.

3. File processing

Every time our website is accessed and every time a file is retrieved, general data about this process is automatically stored in a log file. The storage is exclusively for system-related and statistical purposes (based on Art. 6 para. 1 letter b) DSGVO), as well as in exceptional cases to report criminal offences (based on Art. 6 para. 1 letter e) DSGVO).

The data will not be passed on to third parties or evaluated in any other way unless there is a legal obligation to do so (Art. 6 para. 1 letter e) DSGVO).

In detail, the following data record is stored for each retrieval:

  • Name of the retrieved file
  • date and time of the retrieval
  • amount of data transferred
  • Message as to whether the retrieval was successful
  • description of the type of web browser used
  • operating system used
  • the previously visited page
  • provider
  • your IP address

Personal data will only be processed by us if we are permitted to do so by law or if you have given us your consent. In detail:

4. Contact

If you contact us, we store your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 letter b) DSGVO for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in the event that further correspondence should take place.

5. Cookies

We use so-called cookies in some areas of our website. Through such file elements, your computer can be identified as a technical entity during your visit to this website, in order to facilitate the use of our offer – also for repeat visits. As a rule, however, you have the option of setting your internet browser to inform you of the occurrence of cookies, so that you can allow or exclude them, or delete existing cookies. Please use the help function of your internet browser to obtain information on how to change these settings. We would like to point out that some functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Cookies do not allow a server to read private data from your computer or the data stored by another server. They do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. We base the use of cookies on Art. 6 para. 1) letter f) DSGVO, because the processing is carried out to improve the functioning of our website. It is therefore necessary to protect our legitimate interests.

6. Borlabs Cookie

This website uses Borlabs Cookie, which sets technically necessary cookies (borlabs-cookie) to store your cookie consent. The provider of this technology is Borlabs – Benjamin A. Bornschein, Georg-Wilhelm-Straße 17, 21107 Hamburg, Germany. Borlabs cookie does not process any personal data.

The following information is stored in the borlabs-cookie cookie:

  • Cookie duration
  • Cookie version
  • Domain and path of the WordPress website
  • Consents
  • UID

The UID is a randomly generated ID and is not personal information.

The cookie borlabs-cookie stores the consents you gave when entering the website. If you wish to revoke these consents, simply delete the cookie in your browser. When you re-enter/reload the website, you will be asked again for your cookie consent.

7. Use of the “Google Analytics” analysis tool

This website uses the service “Google Analytics”, which is offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to analyse the use of the website by users. The service uses “cookies” – text files that are stored on your terminal device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

IP anonymisation is used on this website. The IP address of the user is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This shortening eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. Under the terms of the data sharing agreement between the website operators and Google Inc., Google Inc. uses the information collected to evaluate website usage and activity and to provide services relating to internet usage.

You have the option of preventing the cookie from being stored on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.

Furthermore, you can use a browser plug-in to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to and used by Google Inc. The following link will take you to the corresponding plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Here you will find further information on the use of data by Google Inc.: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

We base the use of the aforementioned analysis tool on Art. 6 para. 1 letter f) DSGVO: the processing is carried out to analyse user behaviour and is therefore necessary to protect our legitimate interests.

8. No use of social plugins from Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram

We do not use social media plugins/tools from Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram; there is only a link via buttons in the footer area to the provider in question. The data protection provisions of the respective provider therefore apply.

9. Use of the Sketchfab plugin

On this website we use a plugin from the provider Sketchfab (Sketchfab,Inc 1123 Broadway,Ste 501 New York, NY 10010, USA), which makes it possible to publish and find 3-D content online in a straightforward manner.

When you call up a page that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Sketchfab servers. The plugin transmits log data to the Sketchfab server in the USA. This log data may include your IP address, the address of the websites visited, the type and settings of the browser, the date and time of the request, how you use Sketchfab and cookies.

In order to view our 3D models on this website, you must therefore actively accept the marketing cookies or view the 3D content directly on Sketchfab.

The storage and analysis of the data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 letter f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in presenting its products as comprehensively as possible. Insofar as a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 letter a) DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information on the purpose, scope and further processing and use of the data by Sketchfab, as well as your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Sketchfab’s privacy policy: https://sketchfab.com/privacy.

10. Use of Google Web Fonts and Google Map

External fonts, so-called Google Web Fonts, are used on our website. We also use Google Maps to show you how to get to our company and to make it easier for you to plan your journey. Here too, we use the services of Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To do this, your browser loads the required information from the Google server in the USA into your browser cache when you call up our site. This is necessary so that your browser can also display a visually improved representation of our texts, or the map is displayed on our website. This transmits to the Google server which of our Internet pages you have visited. Your IP address is also stored by Google.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq?hl=de-DE&csw=1.

Further information on Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

General information on the subject of data protection at Google can be found at www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

11. Duration of storage

We store your data for as long as is necessary for the final processing of your request. An exception to this is data for which there are legal or otherwise prescribed retention obligations; this is stored for the duration of the respective retention period and then routinely deleted.

12. Your rights

In accordance with Art. 13 para. 2 DSGVO, you are informed of the following rights:

a) Right of access
You have the right to request confirmation from us as to whether personal data relating to you is being processed.

b) Correction/deletion/restriction of processing.

e) Right of appeal
If you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you is in breach of the DSGVO, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, without prejudice to any other legal remedy. The competent supervisory authority is:
